About
Primarily working with Polaroid film, Thelma Harris is able to capture emotionally charged imagery while evoking a sense of nostalgia. She combines portrait and street photography styles in a way that conveys change within herself and her environment. As society moves toward digital technologies not only has our sense of photography altered, but so has our physical landscape. Using Polaroid photography Harris is able to create a dialog with viewers that leaves them wondering if these tangible photographs are relics of the past much like many of the objects in her images.
